SINOPSIS:
En la Provenza, durante los años 20, cerca del pueblo de Casas Blancas, viven Papet y Ugolin, su sobrino, que tiene un gran proyecto: el cultivo de claveles. Para realizar su sueño, trata de adquirir una casa de campo cuyo único valor es una fuente indispensable para ese cultivo. Pero la casa es recibida en herencia por un hombre de laciudad, Jean de Florette, que se instala en ella con su esposa y su hija Manon de 10 años.
